Floating r oof . In theory a nice design touch but almost always ends up looking busy.

Full width r ear light bar. Enough already.

They did go for the full-fake vent rear bumper à la Civic, though Apart from that the rear really reminds me of a Macan.

Funny you mention Porsche. The slope of the upper hatch is very similar to the p re-face lift Porsche Mac an . Not a bad thing, IMO .

They didn’t use black cladding on the sills to reduce the height of the vehicle either . T he black line lower on the door accomplishes the same thing. I like the way it trails off over the rear door.

I agree. The chrome on the bottom of the rear window must be to reduce the appearance of bulk. Not sure they had to though. I can’t see o ne swo op of chrome the length of the roof being a bad thing .

Genesis’ styling crew is doing some solid work. It’s rare for a mainstream brand (albeit premium) to introduce a completely unique styling language these days. I don’t have to like it, but I can appreciate it for having an identity.

Oh I’m sure they have been spying on everyone. So far Genesis has been pretty good at making nice looking vehicles without a bunch of ugly gimmicks. The last auto show I did had a separate Genesis booth and I checked it out, I know everyone who works on the shows so I can easily go over and sit in things without people getting upset.

I do really like it but would probably go for the g70 still, I've started seeing the new g90's around and they do look great in person, I was put off by the reveal and online pics.
